770-754-0089 It was a great experience. Let me share it with you as in these days and times it is nice to find somebody that does what he says and fills a great niche. I heard about Gerald through a friend. I told him were going to buy a 2006 BMW 530 with 51,000 miles for $23,500 he said that was expensive and told me he could get the car for $17,500 or a newer one for the same price at the dealer auction. We went over and sat down with him he showed us a live Manheim auction on his laptop and told us most of the cars he bought were coming directly from the lease companies like BMW Lexus or Infinity lease programs. He can also get any year or type American Japan German car or really any car. He is a dealer in a three bay garage and this is his full time business. He spent an hour with us discussing what type car we wanted how many miles we wanted and what our budget was. I ask the main questions what about the motor and transmission etc. on a used car; his advice “buy one under warranty”. We settled on a Lexus 2008 ES 350 with 30,000 miles loaded with all the bells and whistles. He started his process send us print outs of cars that met that criteria coming up in auctions. We picked the one we wanted which happened to be in the Manheim auction in Atlanta. He went down looked at it the day before the auction. Two interesting things it had new tires and two keys. That is $1000 if it did not. That is the kind of thing he knows. All the car bodies are rated by independent car experts by Manheim auction ours was rated 4.9 on a scale of 0 to 5.0. That meant that it had 5 paint chips and 1 half inch scratch on the hood. He will not buy one under 4.5. He went the next day and bid on the car. He told me it would likely go for $23,000 to $24,000 and he got it at $23,500. I then wired him the money. All his deals are cash only. He does not finance. His fee was $600 purchase to the car. He had the scratches fixed at the auction for $90 Basically you get the dealer discount plus his fee. I looked at Kelly blue book and the exact car in the same condition at a dealer cost $27,500. The end of the story. Three days after we got the car we had a cold front and the car did not crank. Dead battery! I called Gerry to ask where and what kind of battery should I get. He said he would make some calls and get back to me. He call back and said “I just confirmed with Lexus, the battery is under warranty and they will install a new one under warranty…go figureJ I went and they did and it was a good experience. I found him to be honest and he returned my calls and he did everything he said he would do. I recommend him, if you have the need and will spend the time to sit down with him and study the process.
One other Gem I found. I had the dents in the old car taken out by David Korsen at “Dents and Dings” 770 569 8554 also in Roswell this guys is an artist (not a dealer) and he pull out two dents in the car in 30 minutes.
